Lori A. Dvorak is the founding member of Dvorak & Associates, LLC. Lori is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. According to the New Jersey Board on Attorney Certification, only approximately 2% of active lawyers hold a Board Certification. Ms. Dvorak is primarily engaged in the representation of public employees in civil, administrative (disciplinary) and criminal matters.
Ms. Dvorak has concentrated her practice in the representation of law enforcement, including PBA and STFA members, in defense of disciplinary matters against them as well defense of civil rights litigation. Her practice also includes Law Against Discrimination (LAD), Conscientious Employee Protection Act (CEPA/Whistleblower), Section 1983, Class Actions, False Arrest/Imprisonment, Malicious Prosecution, Denial of Medical Attention, and Brady/Giglio Designations. Lori is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the United State Supreme Court, Third Circuit Court of Appeal and District Court of New Jersey.
Ms. Dvorak is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and a past President and Board member of the New Brunswick Bar Association. Ms. Dvorak is also a former Trustee for the New Jersey Women’s Lawyer’s Association. Ms. Dvorak also currently serves as the Conference attorney for the Essex County PBA Conference.
Ms. Dvorak received her Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall Law School. At Seton Hall, Ms. Dvorak was an Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and her contributions to the Journal have been cited by the New Jersey Appellate Division. Upon graduation, she served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Robert W. O’Hagan, J.S.C. in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the Superior Court, Monmouth County. Undergraduate, she graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University where she completed her undergraduate degree requirements in only 3 years. While at Seton Hall, she was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Society.
